Overview
A strip mall in Joliet faced challenges with its existing fence. The property backed up to baseball fields, and spectators had torn down the old wood privacy fence to watch games from the parking lot. The property owners needed a solution that would deter this behavior and provide privacy for both the strip mall and its neighbors.
The Challenge
The main challenges were to:
- Replace the damaged wood privacy fence to restore privacy for the strip mall and adjacent properties.
- Install a fence along the back of the property that would deter spectators from parking in the strip mall lot and watching games.
Solution Provided
Cedar Rustic Fence Co. implemented a two-part fencing solution:
- Cedar Shadow Board Fence: We replaced the old wood fence on the side of the property with a cedar shadow board fence, providing privacy for both the strip mall and its neighbor.
- Green Vinyl-Coated Chain Link Fence: Along the back of the property, we installed a green vinyl-coated chain link fence. This fence allowed spectators to see through to the baseball fields, reducing the temptation to tear it down, while still deterring them from parking in the strip mall lot.
Impact
The strategic combination of cedar shadow board and chain link fencing effectively addressed the strip mall's concerns.
- Privacy Restored: The new cedar shadow board fence provides the desired privacy for the strip mall and its adjacent neighbor.
- Spectator Parking Deterred: The vinyl-coated chain link fence along the back of the property deters spectators from parking in the strip mall lot, as they can still view the games without needing to tear down the fence.
- Durable Solution: Both the cedar and vinyl-coated chain link fences are built to withstand the elements and provide a long-lasting solution for the property owners.
