Consultation Design A Fence
Everything starts with a free in-home consultation. You can contact us at 800-262-0388 or via contact form. From there, a friendly sales representative will come to your home to help you select a fence style that fits your needs.
When you’re happy with your fence selection, review and sign the contract and place a deposit with our team. An installation date will then be scheduled.
Most fence installations are done in a day. However, sometimes unforeseen circumstances may require a little more time to complete your fence. We’ll keep you posted on the timeline.
- Can you provide an online fence estimate?
We’d be happy to provide you with a free estimate because our top priority is your satisfaction. Keep in mind that online tools can't factor in unique property features like slopes, hidden obstacles, or soil type. Only an in-person assessment ensures your estimate is accurate and your fence project runs smoothly.
Permits and Authorizations
Most townships today require a permit prior to the installation of a new fence. Usually, a copy of your plat of survey and a contract for the fence is all that is needed for a permit. Please check with your local building department for additional information or specific requirements they may have.
We also recommend that you check with your homeowner’s association to see if there are any restrictions prior to building your fence.
Please notify Cedar Rustic if there are any township or association restrictions that we need to consider when building your fence.
- What if my HOA has specific fence restrictions?
We have extensive experience working within HOA guidelines. Let us know your association's rules, and we'll design a fence that meets their requirements while enhancing your property.
Manufacturing
After your fence has been approved by your village and HOA and we have received a deposit. We will manufacture your fence in our 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Joliet.
- How do you guarantee the quality of your fences?
At Cedar Rustic Fence Co., we control every step of production in our Joliet facility, using high-grade materials and strict quality checks. This ensures that each fence is robust, durable, and built to last.
Installation
Two to seven days before the installation of your fence, Cedar Rustic will notify J.U.L.I.E (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators). If you live in Indiana, we ask you to call Diggers (1.800.382.5544). J.U.L.I.E. and Diggers will instruct local utility companies to locate their underground facilities in your yard. Please leave all flags and markings in your yard until the fence installation is complete.
Cedar Rustic Fence Co. will take care of scheduling all required inspections.
During the day of installation, your crew chief will meet with you in the morning to review the placement of your fence. Please provide a copy of your plat of survey to your crew chief so he can establish your property.
We recommend but don’t require you to be home during the installation. If you are unable to be home please make sure we have a valid phone number to contact you with any questions.
- Will the installation damage my landscaping?
Our crews respect your property, minimizing disruption to existing plants. Rest assured that we'll discuss any areas of concern before we start. We will need about 2 feet on the inside of the fence to work. This will be covered during our free estimate.
Completion
When our authorized installers have completed installing your fence, your crew chief will review the job with you making sure you are satisfied with our work
Final payment or financing paperwork is due upon completion of the fence.
Warranty:
All of our fences come with extensive warranties: a three-year warranty on the workmanship and installation of the fence. Our gates are warrantied for one year. Our aluminum and vinyl products have a limited lifetime warranty on the material. If you have any problems with the fence after installation, don’t hesitate to call us and we’ll work hard to resolve your issue.
